Time is money

This one is one of my alltime favorites. It's quote from Benjamin Franklin who was printer, political theorist and a lot of more. This quote itself tells something funny, yes time is money but u can buy time with money nowdays, example you buy cleaningservice so you dont have to clean yourself and time is saved for something else. There is link to an cnn article where professor have proved this all to be true with mathematical formula; http://articles.cnn.com/2002-05-29/tech/time.money_1_pence-formula-average-cost?_s=PM:TECH

And about drawing, its simple drawing where is both money and time included, money as dollarsign and time as clock. Another way how I could have draw this was a balance with time on other side and money on other, but I found this one better.

A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse

As a shakespear fan I have liked this phrase for a long time. It's not maybe waterclear what it means, but it means when someone is in need for something unimportant item. (From Shakespeare's Richard III, 1594)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2gqtmLchGM

About drawing I would say, not the best horse what I have draw, but it does its work.

Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them

I found this phrase again from some phrase/quote site, and its originally said by Lou Holtz. I find myself this phrase is pretty true, but only expect maybe would be friends. People just dont care that much but only about themselves, sad but true.

And few words about drawing, pretty simple drawing and simple idea, just human cross over his mouth. I couldn't think another way put this phrase so it would be more clear.

You know you are getting old when the candles cost more than the cake

This one I did found when I was reading some quote/phrase site. Its pretty simple phrase but quite truthfull, of course u can buy very expensive cake and very cheap candles, but lets be real here :). I find this phrase some how funny, maybe thats becouse im that young still that I haven't got that problem that my candles would have been more costly than my cake, but maybe the reason is that this phrase is from comedian Bop Hope.

And few words about drawing, I tried to draw better looking cake, not just from picture from top of a cake, but that was too hard to put so much candles on top of that kind of cake and that would have put down idea of the phrase in my opinion.

People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day

So I did catch this phrase from random forumposters signature, it said its from Winnie the Pooh. I had to think for a second for this one, even it's very simple to understand. There is many ways to think what is nothing, or it is nothing, but I found most best way to define it is just make space between no and thing. This phrase is funny way to put someone down who is using "nothing is impossible" as his motto.

And couple of words about the drawing, it would have been stupid if I did draw 'nothing' (:D), but instead of that I did draw guy doing nothing. This is not my best drawing, but u get the idea.

Like a dog without a bone

So i started a blog to draw phrases or some other thoughts. I did this phrase to my first one becouse it's my temporary favored. I have heard it trough the years many times, but I did catch it to my mind just few weeks ago when i was listening The doors song called Riders on the storm. At that exact moment when my brains got that phrase from that song I had to repeat it and start to brainstorm what it actually means. I didn't got that far with my thinking what it could try tell. But on bottomline I think it's phrase about being lost, we all put together dog and bone on our mind, but when you think dog without a bone what comes to you'r mind? To my mind just comes dog who's trying to find his bone, as in being lost with something, being down.

And couple words about that drawing, as you maybe can see Im not the best drawer in the world, but I'll try my best to give simple drawings about interesting phrases, think my drawings like caricatures.
